The representative Ralph Norman, RS.C., member of the Caucus of Freedom de Rica, announced on Sunday that he is postulated for governor, seeking to happen to the governor of the Republican Party Henry McMaster, who cannot apply for re -election due to term limits.
Norman has sometimes been a thorn on the leadership side of the Republican party, particularly in spending invoices. Norman was also one of the few legislators of the House of Representatives that does not support President Donald Trump in the presidential primaries, instead of supporting the presidential campaign of former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley.
He praised Trump during his announcement, saying that his actions would make him one of the “best” presidents.
“What he did to erase the world, the terror of Iran, what he did, the courage he had to do what he did was put it in the annals of the greatest presidents we have had,” Norman said. “And I think South Carolina needs that same type of leadership at this time, so I am here to announce that I am running to be the 118th governor of South Carolina.”
“I’m running for the governor to shake things,” he added, in the midst of “Ralph! Ralph! Ralph!”

The representative promoted its conservative Bona Fides, pointing out its time in the Freedom Freedom Caucus.
“Some people say that I have earned the reputation of being uncompromising, always trying to build, to make a bill more conservative. Haley previously served as governor of South Carolina and supported the governor campaign of Norman on Sunday, according to a press release of his campaign.
Several republican party contenders have already announced their offers, including Alan Wilson, the State Attorney General; and Pamela Emette, Lieutenant Governor of the State.
Norman made his announcement in Rock Hill, South Carolina. He was presented by his son and walked on stage to the song “I Wonn Back Down”, which Trump’s campaign has previously used.
The election of governor will take place in 2026.
