Gabbard is promoting a 2020 report that recently declassified that he states that he shows that Obama manufactured the evaluation of the US intelligence community of Russia’s interference in the 2016 elections.
The report, prepared by the Republicans in the Chamber Intelligence Committee, does not include anything new. He sought to review the evaluation of the 2017 Intelligence Community that Russia tried to influence the presidential elections of the previous year.
Although the Republican Party report discovered that the evaluation of the intelligence community was “solid”, it was taken in trouble with the trial of the intelligence community that Russian President Vladimir Putin “aspired” to help Trump. The report said the conclusion was based on a piece of human intelligence that was open to different interpretations. He added that some CIA officers opposed to include the judgment on Putin’s intentions, arguing that the intelligence behind her was insufficient.
The intelligence community had completed in its 2017 evaluation that Russia launched an informative war to damage the Hillary Clinton campaign and boost Trump’s electoral perspectives. A bipartisan report of the Senate Intelligence Committee in 2020 reached the same conclusions.
Without evidence and boost the conspiracy theory that Trump has been promoting, Gabbard today accused Obama of ordering the original evaluation. “President Obama ordered that an evaluation of the intelligence community be created to promote this false artificial narrative that finally led to a coup d’etat of years to try to undermine the presidency of President Trump,” he told the journalists of the informative session of the White House.
Gabbard repeated his opinion that Russia used influence operations to try to undermine the democratic process in 2016, but rejected the 2017 intelligence evaluation that Moscow was trying to help Trump win. Citing the Republican Chamber’s report, Gabbard said Putin could have even more damaged Clinton by spreading derogatory information than his intelligence services had collected on her, but decided not to do it. Gabbard argued that this contradicted the idea that Putin sought to boost Trump’s possibilities.
When asked if the Republican Party report declassified implies Obama in criminal behavior, Gabbard said he has referred and will continue to send those documents related to the Department of Justice and the FBI to “investigate the criminal implications of this.”
Speaking to journalists yesterday, Trump accused Obama of “betrayal”, falsely stating that he manipulated the 2016 and 2020 elections. The Obama office said the statements are “scandalous” and “strange.”
Obama’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comments on Gabbard’s accusations today.
