• Write to the governor of KP, prime minister; He says that the delay in the oath oath would prevent him from celebrating the Senate elections in time.
• Commission reservations verdict on the reference in search of the redistribution of reserved seats in the Provincial Assembly
Islamabad: With the Senate elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) just a week away, the Pakistan Electoral Commission (ECP) has written to the governor and the main minister of the province, asking that the Provincial Assembly become immediately so that the new members can be demanded in reserved seats.
Also on Monday, the ECP reserved its verdict in a case related to the reallocation of reserved seats in the KP assembly.
The letter, addressed to the main secretary of the governor of the KP, declared that the commission was obliged to make elections of the Senate in the province, which had been established for July 21.
“But the question of the administration of the oath is still pending and delayed,” he said.
The correspondence indicated that the speaker of the KP Assembly was requested to administer the oath to the newly returned candidates, which allowed them to complete the Electoral College for the Senate elections.
In response, the speaker has transmitted that the oath will be administered when the assembly is in session.
“The Commission also received a copy of the Charter of the opposition leader, attached to the application submitted by Mr. Suresh Kumar MPA and others in this commission, in which the President has declared that neither the Constitution nor the Provincial Assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the realization of business rules, 1988, contain no provision with the coming of the assembly of Sumon to Sumion to Sumion of Sum Tit.
By pointing out that the administration of oaths has already been considerably delayed, he asked the governor to summon the assembly as soon as possible.
Through another letter, the KP main minister has been requested to issue advice to the governor to summon the assembly immediately, so that the new members can take an oath and the Senate elections can be held.
Reserved verdict
Meanwhile, an ECP bank, headed by the Chief Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja, reserved his verdict in a case related to the reallocation of seats reserved in the KP Assembly, after hearing arguments from all parties.
Five political parties, PML-N, PPP, JUI-F, Awami National Party and PTI-Parliamentarians, and 71 individuals received notices, since the ECP set the case for the hearing after receiving the order of the Superior Court of Peshawar.
On July 8 he had ordered the PHC to redistribute the reserved seats after listening to all the parties, while declared notifications of the ECP on the distribution of reserved seats of the assembly of null and null KP. The PHC verdict reached a request presented by the PML-N.
Later, talking with the journalists, the senator of the lawyer of Jui-F, Kamran Murtaza, said that the PML-N was demanding a majority of seats reserved after the independent candidate, Tariq Awan, joined the party with the task.
Murtaza said that an independent legislator who joins a political party after the time stipulated in the law has expired, remains independent, and this in no way affects the proportion of a political party in terms of reserved seats.
The Government led by PTI currently has 92 seats in the KP Assembly, while the opposition, which could only win 18 of the total of 115 general seats, has seen its numbers increase to 53.
