Multiple users publications on the social media platform X Thursday shared a video clip, claiming that he showed the journalist Alam urging Pakistan to explore the benefits of recognizing Israel. However, the viral clip is incomplete and is actually questioning whether to recognize Israel would bring some real benefit to Pakistan.
Abraham’s agreements, negotiated by the United States in 2020, are historical agreements for diplomatic relations between Israel and several Arab nations, including the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Morocco and Sudan. These agreements raided the way for formal ties, such as embassies and trade agreements, backed by mutual interests in safety, economic collaboration and technology exchange.
While it was held as a diplomatic change in the Middle East, the agreements also caused debate and resistance in Pakistan. Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, and Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, have affirmed that Pakistan will not join, stating that any recognition of Israel would contradict his long -standing support for a solution of two states and could only be considered whether to serve the national interest of Pakistan.
On Thursday, Anchor and Youtuber Tariq Mateen published an Alam clip of a TV Samaa Podcast, superimposed with a text that said: “Absar Alam has begun to list the benefits of recognizing Israel. These people, on their own, have already accepted Israel.”
The clip transcription is reproduced below:
“If we recognize Israel, people say there will be benefits as a reduced pressure on Baluchistan, or that India and Israel could stop collaborating against us. Maybe we will have access to technology such as agriculture or armament. But, is there any guarantee of that?
India is also our enemy and yet we have diplomatic ties with them: cultural exchanges, interactions of people to people. Have you ever prevented India from supporting TTP (Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan)? No. Then, diplomatic relations do not necessarily safeguard our geographical or ideological limits.
Each country acts in its own interest. At this time, if someone visits the high commission of India, people dig in the background of their relatives to find out why. Tomorrow, if there is an Israeli embassy here, people will visit it too. Are we going to start investigating everyone then?
What will we win exactly of this? I don’t understand. Will the United States suddenly consider us an ally? Cancel our debts? Gifts F-35 combat airplanes? What exactly will it change? “
The publication was seen by more than 100,000 users.
The clip was also shared here on a Pro-PTI account with the legend: “The impostor who until yesterday called Imran Khan an Israel agent is today lists the benefits of recognizing Israel. That is exactly why, in Pakistan, it is now known as a” PEN, the dog that is established. “Winning 64,000 views.

A verification of facts began to determine the veracity of the claim due to its virality and a great public interest in matters related to the debate about whether Pakistan should recognize Israel or not.
A keyword search for “Alam Podcast” on YouTube led to a video posted in TV SamaaThe channel of July 10, 2025, entitled: “Abraham Accord 2: Trump and Netanyahu celebrate | Great message for Pakistan | Absar Alam reveals everyone.”
In the seven -minute brand, the host raised the possibility that Pakistan recognized Israel, following the steps of several Arab nations.
Alam explained that the goodwill and relations of Pakistan with the Arab countries should not dictate their position on Israel, and pointed out that it would not be in Pakistan’s national interest signed Abraham’s agreements without guaranteeing the rights of the Palestinian people.
The viral clip, in which it is said that Alam explains the alleged benefits of recognizing Israel, actually shows him by questioning any supposed benefit by recognizing Israel and reflects the broader argument he did during the podcast.
“We say that we are a nuclear energy with missile technology and a proud nation with 250 million people, the second largest Islamic country in the world, the only Islamic nuclear energy, then at least we should walk the talk and take a position of principles. If the injustice against the Palestinians continues and the Muslims of Gaza continue to be attacked to the health of the Israeli.
“The example occurs from our many wars with India, but this example is not justified. We and India were a country and then separated for ideological reasons. We have a fight with them on Kashmir, but we had relations with them based on the cultural and people base.
Rejected the assumption that diplomatic ties would automatically lead to national security or a strategic advantage, citing the continuous tensions of Pakistan with India despite formal diplomatic relations in the past. He also deconstructed the usual arguments given in favor of supporting Israel.
When verifying if Alam had responded to the viral clip, checking its X account led to a July 10 publication to go directly to Mateen.
“Mr. Tariq, if he had only heard the entire clip before speaking, he would have realized his own dishonesty and insufficiency,” he said.
Therefore, the verification of facts determined that the statement that a viral video shows the journalist Alam to advocate the benefits of recognizing Israel. misleading.
In the full interview, Alam questions whether to recognize Israel would contribute some real benefit to Pakistan and deconstruct the traditional arguments proposed on any supposed benefit of a formal establishment of relationships.
