For the first time in its history, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police used Jamming Drone technology as part of security measures during Sunday Ashura processions in Peshawar.
The processions of Yaum-i-Ishura in the main cities throughout the country concluded peacefully on Sunday night in the middle of security. A total of 4,836 processions and 5,480 Majalis They were carried out, with 12 processions in Peshawar.

“The new technology can disable suspicious drones at a distance of up to three kilometers.”

Separately, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised police authorities for their coordinated security efforts to guarantee a peaceful and safe environment during Ashura processions throughout the country.
“All processions and meetings in Islamabad, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Baluchistan, Sindh, Gilgit-Baltist and Azad Jammu and Kashmira concluded peacefully,” he said today in an X.
He paid tribute to the army, the rangers and the police for their “hard work” during the processions of Ashura and thanked “each soldier, official and official assigned to the security of Ashura.”
The Interior Minister said that the security forces did their duties with “dedication and harmony” and provided infallible security to the processions and meetings of the mourners.
“From Muharram 1 to Ashura, an effective and coordinated security plan was successfully implemented,” Naqvi said. “All field forces and formations demonstrated exemplary discipline and the unit day and night.”
