The whereabouts of a convicted murderer is unknown, after he escaped from a federal security institution of several levels in Sainte-Anne-de-Plaines, which, about 40 kilometers northwest of Montreal.
According to the Canada Correctional Service (CSC), Lori Bill Germa, 69, was not counted during the 10 PM count in the Minimum Security Unit of the Archambault institution on Saturday.
The agency said Germa is complying with an undetermined sentence for first -degree murder.
It is described that Germa has a clear complexion, brown and hairless eyes. It has 5′10 ″ high and weighs 166 pounds.
Germa also has a scar on his left leg and multiple tattoos, including a sword tattoo on his left arm and two seahors and a dragon in the right arm.
CSC said he contacted the Provincial Police of Quebec and an arrest warrant against Germa was issued.
Any person with information about his whereabouts is asked to communicate with the police.
The Federal Agency said in a press release that it will launch an investigation into the incident.
This is the second time in less than a month that a convicted murderer has escaped from the installation.
On June 22, a 62 -year -old inmate who serves a life prayer for second degree murder, was not counted either.
It was located and detained the next day by the Sûreté du Québec.
