The Palestinians in Northern Gaza reported one of the worst night of Israeli bombing in weeks after the military issued mass evacuation orders on Monday, while Israeli officials owed in Washington for a new impulse of high fire of the Trump administration.
A day after the president of the United States, Donald Trump, urged at the end of the 20 -month conflict, a confidant of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was expected in the White House to talk in a high Gaza’s fire, Iran and possible broader regional diplomatic agreements.
But on the ground in the Palestinian enclave, there were no signs of fighting.
“The explosions never stopped; they bombarded schools and homes. He felt like earthquakes,” said Salah, 60, father of five children, in the city of Gaza. “In the news, we hear that a high fire is close, on the ground, we see death and listen to explosions.”
The Israeli tanks pushed the eastern areas of Zeitoun’s suburb in the city of Gaza and bombarded several areas in the north, while the planes bombarded at least four schools after ordering hundreds of families who took refuge to leave, residents said.
At least 25 people died in Israeli strikes on Monday, health authorities said, including 10 people killed in Zeitoun.
The Israeli army said it reached militant objectives in northern Gaza, including command and control centers, after taking measures to mitigate the risk of damaging civilians.
The heavy bombing followed new evacuation orders to vast areas in the north, where Israeli forces had operated before and left a large -scale destruction.
The military ordered the people who were heading south, saying that he planned to fight against the fighters of Hamas who operated in northern Gaza, even in the heart of the city of Gaza.
Later, on Monday, the health officials of the Nasser hospital in Khan Younis said that at least 13 people had been killed southwest of the city of Gaza, carrying the death toll from Monday to at least 38.

A day after Trump called to “reach the agreement in Gaza, recover the hostages,” the Minister of Strategic Affairs of Israel, Ron Dermer, a confidant from Netanyahu’s, was expected on Monday, at the White House for conversations about Iran and Gaza, said an Israeli official.
In Israel, the Netanyahu security cabinet was expected to meet to discuss the next steps in Gaza.
On Friday, Israel’s military chief said that the current land operation was close to having achieved its objectives, and Sunday, Netanyahu said that new opportunities had opened to recover the hostages, 20 of which it is believed that they are still alive.
The Palestinian and Egyptian sources with knowledge of the last efforts of Alto El Fuego said that the Qatar and Egypt mediators have intensified their contacts with both sides at war, but that a date for a new round of truce conversations has not yet been established.

Pressure is mounted in Netanyahu to end the Gaza campaign
The increase in Netanyahu’s popularity during the war with Iran can already be disappearing, since the pressure is mounted at home to end the conflict in Gaza.

Liri Albag, who was released from captivity in January under a short truce, told the crowd that Netanyahu and Trump “made brave decisions about Iran. Now make the brave decision to end the war in Gaza and bring [the hostages] home”.
Netanyahu has also faced a renewed pressure from one of its political rivals, former Prime Minister Naphtali Bennett.
Criticizing the “inability of the Netanyahu government to decide” on Gaza, Bennett requested “an integral agreement that includes the release of all hostages” to put an end to “the terrible impasse and political confusion.”
“Netanyahu must give up. He has been in power for 20 years … That is too long,” Bennett told Israel Channel 12 In an interview that was broadcast on Saturday.
“People want to change, they want to calm down,” Bennett added, who is expected to run for a position again in the next elections, scheduled by the end of 2026.
Gil Dickman, an outstanding activist who demanded an action from Israel to ensure the release of hostages, said that although “the operation in Iran was a success,” Netanyahu had “failed” in “making people forget their responsibility” for not avoiding the 2023 attack unprecedented by Hamas.
Dickman, whose cousin Carmel Gat was killed in captivity and his body recovered from Gaza in August, said AFP that the “terrible failures and the abandonment of Netanyahu’s hostages will not be forgotten.”
Expressing “cautious optimism” after Trump’s recent comments, Dickman said “there was an opportunity to end the war.”
“We could not save my cousin, but we can still save those who are still alive in Gaza.”
