Do not wait for a long stay in Pittsburgh for the newly signed field marshal Aaron Rodgers.
Speaking in “The Pat Mcafee Show,” Rodgers said he signed a one -year contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers because NFL’s 2025 season is likely to be the last one.
“I am quite sure of this and that is why we made the contract of a year,” Rodgers said when he was asked if the last season would be the last season. “The Steelers did not need to put any additional year in that. It is really about ending with love, fun and peace for the career I have had.”
He added: “What better place to end than in one of the franchises of the cornerstone of the NFL.”
Rodgers, 41, has played 20 seasons.
He was recruited by the Green Bay Packers with General Selection 24 in the NFL 2005 Draft. After sitting behind Brett Favre for three seasons, Rodgers became the full -time holder of the team in 2008.
Rodgers played 18 years with the Packers, which took the team to a Super Bowl victory after the 2010 season.
In 2023, Rodgers was changed to the New York Jets, where he spent the last two seasons.
He appeared in just a game in 2023 before shaking his Achilles, but played the 17 games last season. In 2024, Rodgers completed 63.0% of its passes for 3,897 yards, 28 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. His 90.5 pin qualification was the lowest for any season in which he started at least seven games.
The Steelers had 10-7 last season, ending second at AFC North. They lost 28-14 against the Baltimore Ravens in the Round of Commodines of the playoffs.
