Missing toddler found murdered in Rawalpindi – Pakistan

Rawalpindi: A small boy who disappeared while playing on the street was found dead in a sewerage line in Ratta Amral on Thursday, allegedly murdered by a boy, a close relative of the girl.

Maryam, a year old, while playing outside her home in Mohalla Qazian Ratta Amral with other children, disappeared.

After the disappearance, Maryam’s parents began to look for her, but not finding clues, her grandmother, Musarath Bibi, sought police help and registered a case under the relevant section of the law.

During the search, the missing girl’s body was found in the main sewerage line of Dhoke Ratta on Thursday. The Local Police arrived at the scene and transferred the body to the Hospital of the District headquarters for Post Mortem. An investigation was launched to determine the facts behind the girl’s tragic death.

Later, the police arrested the defendant, who was identified as Azan Sultan, 10 and a half years, and lived in the same house. The accused child was transferred to the Office of Protection by the Local Court.

During the initial investigation, the defendant revealed that he had collected the girl and put his head in the water of the sewer line, which claimed his life. The police investigation officer said while cited the accused as: “I didn’t like it.”

Police said CCTV’s images helped the police to track the defendant, since he could be seen collecting the girl on the street and carrying her. The girl’s body was handed over to her parents after the autopsy.

The girl’s father was used in the Acantonation Board. The defendant’s father is an addict, since his mother had left his house and resided with his parents.
