The National Agency for Investigation of Cyber Crimes (NCCIA) has exposed to a child sexual exploitation gang that operates in the Punjab Muzaffarhh district, which leads to the arrest of two suspects and the recovery of ten children.
The Minister of State of the Interior, Talal Chaudhry, revelation during a press conference in Islamabad, saying that Niccia has discovered a “huge network” during an operation carried out on May 23.
He said that an international gang devised by a German citizen was operating a child sexual exploitation group in Muzaffarhrh, where the children were prepared.
“They established a small club where children from 6 to 10 years were taught. They provided avant -garde facilities and modern cameras,” he said.
He added that the children of the disadvantaged families were “brought there, given money and then blackmail” to exploit them, and “their videos climbed on the Dark Daily website and sold for thousands of dollars.”
“Some videos were broadcast live and seen worldwide from Muzafargarh,” said State Minister. “The network was directed by a German citizen and all efforts will be made to arrest it.”
Providing more information, he said that fifty children had been victims of the toilet gang, while “ten children were recovered and six were delivered to the Child Protection Office.”
He mentioned that on May 23, the Nccia launched an operation that lasted five hours with the assistance of other agencies, as a result of which two suspects were arrested.
“Unfortunately, the families and parents of some children also participated in the ominous crime and action have also started against them,” said Chaudhry.
He said that the NCCIA had been working diligently against financial scams, harassment and other cyber crimes, adding that financial scams had become common due to the easy availability of mobile phones and the agency had been taking measures after receiving complaints.
The minister continued to say that the agency’s workforce must be increased with triple and that a branch must be established in each district. “The Interior Minister and the Prime Minister have been requested to increase the funds for the NCCIA in the budget,” he said.
Chaudhry added that an international organization, the National Center for missing and exploited children (NCMEC), provides information and the NCCIA takes rapid measures.
He explained that 178 information reports were presented against the exploitation of children, 198 suspects have been arrested and fourteen were imprisoned between four and ten years.
