Karachi: In less than a week, armed assailants shot at another policeman in what the police described as an objective attack near Sohrab Goth on Sunday morning.
The central SSP Zeeshan Shafiq Siddiqi said that agent Shaharyar Ali, 28, headed somewhere on his motorcycle around 3:05 am when the armed assailants, also on a motorcycle, were heading to him in Shahrah-I-Pakistan near Kashti Chowk inside the Remit of the Yousuf Plaza police station.
It suspended a single gunshot wound in the abdomen and was taken to the Jinnah postgraduate medical center, where she died during treatment.
Police sources said investigators have obtained CCTV images near the crime scene. The footage is blurred, but showed that the police had stopped his motorcycle on the road. Meanwhile, two assailants who rode a motorcycle left there, shot at him and moved away without taking away any value.

The victim was published in the anti-vehicle lifting cell (AVLC) and a resident of the cushioning zone area. It was not in uniform at the time of the incident.
It seemed to be a target murder incident, but the police were investigating the matter to discover the exact reason, said the SSP.
He said that the murder did not seem to be related to the robbery, since the murderers did not remove the murdered gun from the agent, his cell phone, effective and motorcycle.

Police had registered a case of terrorism and transferred investigations to the Terrorism Department, since high police officers feared the resurgence of some prohibited outfits. Researchers suspect that the participation of their sleeping cells in the murder.
Until now, an arrest has not been made in relation to the case of murder directed on May 27.
CTD Dig Asif ejaz Sheikh said Sunrise who launched an investigation into the murder of the AVLC police.
He, however, said it would be premature to say something concrete at this time about the exact reason for the murder.
Regarding the incident of the ship basin, he said that the CTD was working on many potential clients, but so far, concrete evidence had emerged on the participation of any militant group.
He said that the group that had assumed responsibility in Telegram only used its name as ‘Mujahideen’ without appointing any specific faction of the offer tehreek-i-taliban Pakistan.
The excavation said that the TTP or the prohibited Baluchistan liberation army had used their own mangoes on social networks to claim the responsibility of their attacks.
