Arshad Nadeem readies himself for first international tournament since Paris Olympics – Pakistan

Javelin’s star, Arshad Nadeem, said Thursday that he was preparing to participate and ensure a victory in the next Asian athletic championships, months after the country was proud of his historic victory at the Olympic Games of Paris 2024.

More than 2000 athletes from 43 countries will compete in the 26th edition of the Asian Athletics Championship, which will take place in South Korea, according to the official website of the Olympics.

In a video message in his Instagram stories, he said: “I am competing tomorrow in [South] Korea at 6:15 am Pakistan time. “

He said this was his first tournament after last year’s Olympic Games. “Please, pray for me to qualify for the finals,” he said.

“The final will take place on May 31 at 1:10 PM PKT,” he said, asking for sentences to “ensure the medal and pride Pakistan.”

In August of last year, Nadeem established a new Olympic record and won a gold medal in the men’s javelin final in Paris with a 92.97m shot.

Nadeem will soon go to England to prepare for the World Athletics Championships in September.
