Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said Wednesday, along with the presidents of Turkiye and Azerbaijan, he had met at a trilateral summit to “reject the conflict.”
The prime minister participated in the trilateral summit of Pakistan-Turkiye-Azerbaiyan along with the presidents Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Ilham Aliyev. The meeting occurs when the prime minister continued his tour to friendly countries to appreciate his support for Pakistan during the recent conflict with India.
Speaking at the summit, Prime Minister Shehbaz said: “The world in which we live faces numerous serious challenges, including armed conflicts, climate change, disease and economic crises.
“That is why we have gathered here today, opting for compassion while rejecting the conflict. We are sure that patience and wisdom will finally mark peace and prosperity.”
“I have said humbly that we want peace in the region. […] And that requires conversations about the table on issues that need urgent attention and a friendly resolution, that is, the problem of Kashmiro according to the resolutions of the United Nations and the Security Council and according to the aspirations of the people of Kashmir. “

“I have seriously said that if India wants to talk about how to counteract terrorism in sincerity of purpose, Pakistan would also be willing to speak with India on this issue. But this is a fact of life that we are the greatest victims of terrorism worldwide; we lost 90,000 valuable lives in Pakistan and $ 150 billion economic losses during the last decades.
“There can be no greater commitment and intention to overcome this threat to all time, and in that, if India wants with all sincerity, honest cooperation, Pakistan would be willing, together with the promotion of trade with India. All these problems must be discussed at the table.”
“He would be extremely grateful for his support in this regard,” he said, addressing the presidents of Turkiye and Azerbaijan.
“In the unpredictable and volatile world of today, political security, architectures, connectivity, alignments and emerging technologies are shaping the new reality. In such a situation, Pakistan is very lucky to have sincere brothers such as Turkiye and Azerbaijan who have remained together with us as impregnable rocks and who can trust without a second thought.”
Reiterating his gratitude to Erdogan and Aliyev for his diplomatic support during the recent conflict with India, which “was obviously very serious.” “It was an aggression of India against Pakistan without rhyme or reason.”
He pointed out that Erdogan’s “firm and solidarity position with the people of Pakistan”, as well as Aliyev’s unwavering commitment to the people of Pakistan “had gained the highest level of appreciation of his government and the nation.
The prime minister praised the role of the head of the Army personnel (COAS) Syed also during Pakistan’s response, pointing out the “great courage and the highest level of professional insight” of the Armed Forces under their leadership.
“I saw it during those times fearful for God, without fear, firm and with an iron resolution, with patience and obviously with strength to face that aggression.”
Going to Aliyev, the prime minister thanked him for the hospitality that his delegation was shown, noting that today’s summit “reflects the meeting of hearts and souls of genuine and sincere supporting friends.”
Remembering the “most fruitful discussions” at the summit of the Shanghai cooperation organization last year in Kazakhstan, Prime Minister Shehbaz said: “Now we are eager to bring our trilateral association to new heights that would be in line with the wishes and desires of our people.”
“This would not be a surprise for anyone like Pakistan, Azerbaijan and Turkiye are united by deep historical, cultural and spiritual ties forged through centuries of shared values and mutual support,” he said.
“This historical relationship has strengthened even more as we have supported ourselves, either in Karabakh, Kashmir or Turkish Cyprus of the North. Our strength lies in our solidarity and mutual respect.”
Observing the “effusion of love and affection in both Turkiye and Azerbaijan” for Pakistan, Prime Minister Shehbaz said: “We could not be hypnotized by the intensity of fervor and enthusiasm of our common citizens during Pakistan’s recent conflict with India.”
He pointed out that India “not only could not bring any credible evidence against Pakistan, but also rejected our sincere and generous offer of a neutral and transparent investigation into the so -called Pahalgam incident by any international organism.”
At the beginning of his speech, the prime minister congratulated Aliyev and the Azerbaija nation on his day of the Republic. “The way in which the Azeri nation fought for its liberation, you obtained a high position in the community of nations.”
He also congratulated the Turkish president for “resolving very skillfully the problem” of the PKK, referring to the recent decision of the Kurds to dissolve. “That is explained in volumes, my brother, his diplomatic skills to solve this problem, and by virtue of this, he has gained a place and influence not only in the region, but beyond.”
Going first to the summit, President Aliyev said: “The recent tensions between Pakistan and India had worried us more and we saw it very closely with the hope that peace would prevail, and from the first hours we have expressed our solidarity with fraternal Pakistan.
“We would like to see the dialogue and negotiations online with the letter and resolutions of the UN; this is the way to advance this conflict.”

Prime Minister Shehbaz arrived in Lachin yesterday in the third section of his four -nations tour after visiting Turkiye and Iran. Later he will leave for Tayikistan, where he will attend the International Glacier Conference in Dushanbe.
A day ago, the prime minister held a bilateral meeting with President Aliyev and thanked him for the support of Azerbaijan during the recent confrontation with India. Coas Munir was also present on the occasion.
The prime minister thanked Azerbaijan for his “firm support during the recent confrontation of Pakistan-India against Indian provocation,” said a press release from the prime minister’s office.
They reaffirmed their shared commitment to diversify the strategic association through investment in mutually beneficial roads. The Azerbaijan side agreed to exchange delegations regarding the progress of Azerbaijan investment in Pakistan.

In a publication on the social media platform X, he said: “Pakistan deeply values his close fraternal ties with Azerbaijan, rooted in shared history, mutual trust and unwavering support with each other.
“This year, I really like to celebrate this historic day in Azerbaijan, along with President Aliyev and our Azerbaiy brothers and sisters,” added the prime minister.
The prime minister expressed his confidence that, under the “wise and sagazo leadership of President Aliyev, our multidimensional association will continue to grow of strength in force.”
