A mother in Australia is raising money to cryogenically preserve the body of her 13 -year -old son after he died from suicide after “months of brutal intimidation,” according to the collection of online funds.
Clare McCann, actress and filmmaker from Nueva Wales del Sur, launched the collection of funds on Sunday, explaining that her son, Dlegan McCann, died on May 23.
She wrote that her teenage son “took his life after months of horrible harassment in his public school.”
The mother explained that she repeatedly asked her son’s school and the Department of Education and Services of Children who intervened: “But nothing was done. No one took a step. And now, my beautiful son has left,” says the fund collector.
The New South Wales Education Department did not immediately respond to a comment request on Tuesday.
McCann told 7News Sydney that from the moment his son began the high school, he underwent intimidation. Even following the death of his son, he said that there are no disciplined students.
“None of them was suspended, none of them was expelled. I feel completely disappointed,” he told The Australian Outlet.
McCann is looking for $ 300,000 Aud to preserve your body in the next seven days, “or the opportunity to live again will be lost forever.” CrioPreservación is the concept of freezing humans as soon as they die, hoping to revive them using future medicine.
“If we lose this window, we lose the opportunity of any future rebirth that science can offer. It is about hope and justice. Refusing to let the story of my son end in silence,” McCann wrote.
In the collection of funds, he said he planned to use money for “immediate crio preservation and legal transport”, medical and legal services for the procedure and a confidence in the name of his child.
McCann said he wants to use the money raised to ensure that “this never happens again.”
“Please, help us to preserve our beloved Alegu and give his life the dignity and the future that his school stole him,” said the fund collector.
Australia’s only cryogenic installation is on board to try.
“100% sure, we are not sure. There are no guarantees. But there is a reasonable probability,” said Peter Tsolakides from Southerr Cryonics to 7News.
According to the company’s website, its mission is to promote “the scientifically based crition suspension as a credible option for the extension of life.” The website says that the Cryonic suspension implies covering a body, cooling it to a vitrified state for several days, placing it in a stainless steel container and long -term maintenance of a liquid nitrogen storage environment to avoid the deterioration of the tissues “for centuries if necessary.”
Until Tuesday afternoon, more than $ 7,300 aud.
McCann had shared an Instagram post over the weekend, announcing the death of his son.
“As my worst nightmare has come alive, my son has been stolen. I break my heart beyond what words can compare to share that at a time of unbearable pain that Dlegiau took his life,” he wrote.
“This was not his fault. The school system disappointed him when he suffered horrendous amounts of intimidation,” he continued. “Now humbly beg you to help me preserve your life and help me fight this inhuman sliding of children’s suicides caused by harassment not controlled by schools and teachers.”
McCann did not immediately respond to a request for comments on Tuesday.
