TikTok star who documented battle with stage 4 brain cancer dies at 19

Anna Grace Phelan, a 19 -year -old Tiktok star who documented her battle against brain cancer, died Friday, according to a message posted on her Tiktok account.

“It is with great sadness to announce that our beautiful daughter, Anna Grace Phelan, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,” said a statement from his family.

Phelan, from Jefferson, Georgia, shared updates on their health struggles with more than 100,000 followers, obtaining millions of views in their videos.

“Many of you have followed your trip through a difficult battle against cancer and witnessed your powerful testimony of faith,” said the post.

Phelan graduated from high school in May 2024, and days before starting his first year of university, he was diagnosed with an inoperable malignant brain tumor in stage four, a gofundme for his states.

First he went to Tiktok in August to share a medical update, saying that in a video he began to have a myriad of symptoms, starting with numbness on the left side of his face and the right leg for several weeks. A magnetic resonance revealed an injury in his brain that biopsy to determine if he was cancerous.

Phelan published an update video that indicated that on September 5, he was diagnosed by glioblastoma in stage four, a highly aggressive brain tumor.

“This is definitely the most difficult news I’ve received by all media,” he said in the video. “This is not easy. I will only trust the Lord and try to continue advancing.”

She continued publishing about her medical trip, from her treatments with radiation and steroids to physiotherapy.

On May 14, in one of his last update videos, Phelan said that his health had worsened, and his tumor had grown up, making it unable to be operated.

“A miracle would need to get ready here on earth, but I still don’t give up,” he said.

Phelan worked as a receptionist in Georgia’s skin cancer and aesthetic dermatology, according to his obituary.

His parents survive, William “Buddy” and Nadine Phelan, a brother, Harper David Phelan and other family members. A funeral will take place on Thursday in Galilea Christian Church, of which Anna Phelan was a member.

“Thank you for the innumerable thousands of prayers for healing and peace,” his family said in a statement.
