A man and his two children were shot dead in the Mardan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, police officers and rescue said Thursday, adding that the five suspects had fled the scene.
Dispeating 1122 Mohammad Abbas Shah spokesman said Dawn.com that the incident took place on Wednesday and that there was a case at the Shahbaz Garhi police station for the victim’s sister complaint.
“Five suspects opened fire against the victims, Qubad Khan and their children, in a field in the Gariala de Mardan area,” Shah said. “The victim and her young children died on the scene, while nearby women could escape by little.”
He added that the suspects could flee from the scene after the incident.
According to the police report, seen by Dawn.comThe suspects were accused under sections 148 (disturbances, armed with mortal weapon), 149 (each member of the illegal assembly guilty of crime committed in the prosecution of a common object), 302 (punishment for murder) and 324 (murder attempt) of the Pakistan Criminal Code.
Earlier this week, six people, including three women, lost their lives in a fire exchange due to a family dispute in the Khatko Pul de Peshawar area, according to a 1122 rescue spokesman.
According to reports, seven people were shot in the exchange of fire between two families, six of which died on the spot.
The deceased has been identified as Fazl Amin, Hazrat Amin, Ahmed, along with three women. It was reported that another woman was seriously injured and has been transferred to Lady Reading hospital.
