The Nation observed Yoerm-I-Tashakur on Friday throughout the country to honor the armed forces and the people of victory in the Bunyan-Mou-Marshus operation, a part of Marka–Haq, against India, administered by the State Pakistan radio reported.
The military confrontation between India and Pakistan occurred when the old blamed Islamabad for Pahalgam’s attack. On the night of May 6 to 7, New Delhi launched a series of air attacks in Pakistan, which resulted in civilian casualties. Both parts later exchanged missiles, which extended during the week. American intervention was needed for both parties to finally drop their weapons.

Today began with special prayers in mosques, followed by a greeting of 31 cannons in the Federal Capital and a greeting of 21 cannons in the provincial capitals, according to Pakistan radio.
The main ceremony of Yom-Tashakur was held in the Pakistan monument in Islamabad. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was the main guest at the ceremony. The president of the Joint Heads of the Personnel Committee and the Army Chief were also present there.
In a statement, Prime Minister Shehbaz said that the brave and professional armed forces have written a “gold chapter” in military history by giving an effective and forceful response to the enemy and frustrating the enemy’s intentions, the state media Pakistan television reported. He added that the innocent Pakistani citizens were martyred in this cowardly attack.
“In response to the enemy’s aggression, our hawks hit blows so effective that the enemy’s military bases, weapons deposits and air bases became ruins,” the prime minister continued.
He also praised the leadership of the head of the Army staff, General Syed also Munir, and paid tributes to the head of the Air Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu, and his hawks, as well as the safety of the maritime borders of the Pakistan Navy under the leadership of the head of the staff of the Navy, the Admiral of Ashraf.

In Sindh, Prime Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah lifted the national flag in Karachi, according to Application. The ceremony was attended by several provincial ministers, advisors, special assistants, chief secretary and other officials.
In statements to the media, CM Murad said that seven individuals from Sindh were martyred during the conflict with India, including six Pakistan Air Force personnel (PAF) in Bholari and a Ghotki civilian. He announced a compensation of RS10 million each for the families of the martyrs and RS1 million for the injured.
Rescue 1122 officials marked Yerm-I-Tashakur in a ceremony in Peshawar. Rescue 1122 General Director Shah Fahad said Dawn.com that a minute of silence was observed and prayers were offered for those who were martyred and injured. Rescue officials also organized a walk where national slogans raised.
Punjab police also paid tribute to the PAF for their victory, Application reported. The inspector General of Punjab (IG) Usman Anwar, the head of the Provincial Force, expressed condolences for the martyrs of the operation and praised the veterans, saying: “We honor the heroes who gave their lives and those who made victorious.”
The IG added that complete security arrangements were made for ceremonies and demonstrations in Lahore and Punjab.
