The current heat wave in Sindh is expected to decrease as of May 2, the Department of Meteorology of Pakistan (PMD) said Thursday.

“It is expected that the condition of prevailing heat wave in most of the province will decrease from tomorrow,” said the PMD in its notice issued today.
“A western wave continues to grab the upper parts of the country,” he added.
According to the notice, thunderstorms and light rains were expected in Jamshoro, Hyderabad, Mitiari, Tando Muhammad Khan, Tando Allahyar, Mirpurkhas, Sukkur, Badin, Tharparker and Uumerkot with occasional tacos from May 2 to 5.

The prognosis also said that Karachi would probably experience a warm and humid climate with occasional winds until May 3, adding that the maximum temperatures would be between 35 ° C and 37 ° C and the wind direction would be west and southwest.
PMD urged the public to take precautionary measures, avoid exposure to direct sunlight during the day and remain hydrated.
The notice warned that “Wind storm/hail storm and rays can damage loose structures such as electrical posts, trees, vehicles and solar panels, etc.”
“Farmers are advised to handle their crop activities taking into account climatic conditions and also take care of their cattle,” he added.
A day before, the PMD had predicted the wind and the thunderstorm along with the rain and the isolated hail storm in the upper and central parts of the country from May 1 to 4, saying that the current conditions of the heat wave probably decrease.
