Three police personnel from the Terrorism Department (CTD) were martyred and two injured Thursday morning in a fire exchange with terrorists in Bannu, authorities said.
According to a statement issued by the Office of the Regional Police officer of Bannu (RPO) Sajad Khan, the shooting took place in the Spin Tangi area of Chashmi, Bannu.
Bannu CTD Benyamin Khan, agent Inam Khan and Agent Musawar were martyred personnel were martyred. Two agents, Wafid Khan and Imran, were injured.
He said two Khawarij – A term used by the State to refer to terrorists, were killed and two others injured in the police shot, and their accomplices took bodies and wounded with them.
“The weapons, ammunition, FDI (improvised explosive device) and hand grenades were recovered from the terrorists, who were seized by the police,” said the spokesman.
As soon as the incident, Rpo Khan, the police officer of the Bannu district, Salem Abbas Kalachi, and the CTD police superintendent arrived at the CTD hospital, where they visited the injured staff and asked after their well -being.
They also issued instructions to the hospital staff for the best treatment of the injured.
RPO Khan said that all available resources will be used for the best treatment of injured personnel.
“We will take revenge to our martyred brothers and involve the terrorists with an iron hand until the end,” he said.
A great contingent of the Bannu Police and the CTD Police have cordoned off the area and are dedicated to search operations. Rexulations are being made in the hiding places of the terrorists, said the spokesman.
