Recently launched police video shows a best -selling author and wife of Weezer bassist armed with a gun when she was confronted by the officers of the Los Angeles Police Department who were looking for in her neighborhood of Eagle Rock for a trio of suspects of abuse at the beginning of this month.
“Lower the weapon! Hey, the weapon goes down,” the officers are heard in the bodycam video while watching over a back of the backyard and saw Jillian Lauren Shrner.
“Leave the weapon,” the officers shouted repeatedly.
“Madam, leaves the gun,” another officer shouted. “Madam, we are trying to help you!”
The officers were repeatedly identified as the police and told Shrner that he could receive a shot if he did not lower the weapon.
An officer is heard in the video that says: “She only pointed it out, not us, but only lifted it.”
Seconds later, another officer says: “Oh, she accumulated it.” The shots followed immediately.
The LAPD says that two officers shot and hurt Shrner on the shoulder. No officer were injured.
At least eight shots were heard in the recording.
The Shrner manager did not immediately respond to a request for comments.
Shrner, 51, was treated in a hospital by a shoulder grass wound and reserved under suspicion of the attempted murder of a police officer.
The prison records show that he published a bail of $ 1 million and is due in court on April 30.
