A 16 -year -old boy from Toronto died at the hospital on Tuesday morning after police officers shot him in North York on Sunday night, says the guardian dog of the province.
In a press release issued on Tuesday, the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) said that a Toronto police officer arrested an Infiniti car on an infraction of the road traffic law in the Sheppard Avenue W. and Bathurs Street area around 11 pm that night.
“There was an exchange of shooting during which two policemen discharged their firearms,” said the SIU in the statement. “The man was beaten and was taken to the hospital where he died this morning.”
The SIU says that there are two Toronto police officers who are considered the object of their investigation, together with two police witnesses.
According to the press release, multiple investigators have been assigned, and a post Mortem exam is being programmed, according to the press release.
The surveillance video obtained by CBC Toronto seems to capture the moment when the shots explode, although it is not clear because of the video that fired the first shot.

In it, the suspicious vehicle seems to be locked between two police SUVs.
It seems that an officer is on the road next to the driver’s window before something happens that sends the officer fighting to cover himself in front of the car’s hood.
From that position, one of the officers extends and triggers the car at least three times, while another officer, whose uniform is more visible, takes out his weapon and points to the car.
The footage also shows three other people in the scene. Two of them run to hide behind a police cruise when they shoot, while they bend down the sidewalk.
Before the shooting began, a person was stopped next to a police cruise, while two others were next to the car that was arrested along with the second officer, according to the video.
The SIU said there were six people in the car that was arrested, along with other witnesses in the area at the time of the incident.
SIU is an independent agency that investigates the conduct of police officers in Ontario incidents that may have resulted in death, serious injuries, discharge of a firearm or accusations of sexual assault.
