Two young women died on Thursday after they were run over by a train bound for Upcountry in the general area of Hussainabad, police said.
The Hussainabad Imtiaz Larik Station House officer said Dawn.com However, that the two young women were killed after being run over by the train, the cause of the incident could not yet be determined.
“It is not yet confirmed if they died while crossing the track or otherwise,” said Sho Larik.
He added that there was an unconfirmed report that women were “trying to record a video of a train when they were beaten.”
The women were identified as Sohni, 26, daughter of Kishan and Rashna, daughter of Mohammad Qasim.
He said the rescue 1122 officials transferred the bodies to the Hospital of the Liaquat de Hyderabad (LUH) University from where their heirs were collected.
The sho said that postmortem was not carried out.
