A low movement of slow motion is bringing snow, rain and wind rates northeast this weekend.
Winter alerts are in force from 2 pm to 5 pm et for parts of the green mountains in Vermont, the Berkshires in Massachusetts and the Catskill mountains in New York. It is additional of 1 to 3 inches of snow in parts of Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Maine.
From 11 am et, Princeton, Massachusetts, reported 9 inches of snow, while Austerlitz, New York, reported 5.8 inches. Twin Lakes, Pennsylvania and High Point, New Jersey, have reported 5 inches of winter dust.
Snow was seen falling into Catskills and Albany at dawn on Saturday. From 1:30 PM ET, more than 2,300 public services clients do not have energy in New York, according to Poweroutage.us.
Temperatures are also colder than usual in northeast on Saturday, falling from 10 to 20 degrees below the average. The seasonal maximums for Sunday is expected to recover.
The scattered rain is also pointing to the region, remaining in the forecast until Saturday afternoon, and most areas are dried on Sunday morning.
An additional rain and snow wave will push Sunday on land in New England, with the greatest effects aimed at Maine.
A severe climate or sudden floods is not anticipated.
