The mother of New Orleans Pelican Zion Williamson was arrested in a case of invasion of the house that involved an unidentified woman who could have seen as her romantic rival.
Ahkema Love, 31, was arrested on Sunday and accused of invasion of the house, aggravated aggression and harassment, according to a sworn statement of probable cause of the Kenner police department. Love supposedly shares a romantic couple with the woman described as a victim of the invasion of the house on Sunday, according to the police.
According to the Affidavit, Love turned the Women’s House on March 17 before sending it messages on Instagram saying: “Don’t worry, it will be your head when I leave this baby, tell your days,” said the affidavit.
Love gave a child “shared by his romantic partner,” said the affidavit.
On Sunday, Love had the keys to the woman’s residence and “grabbed the victim’s hair and hit the victim with tight keys in her fist, said the affidavit.
The woman suffered lacerations on her eyes, a high lump on her face and scratches her arms and face, and had four nails torn from her hands, according to the officials.
Love was arrested in an address that seems to be Zion Williamson’s house based on public records.
A love lawyer declined to comment.
Williamson also declined to comment on Wednesday.
Judicial records show that Love had a bail audience on Tuesday and has been released from custody.
According to the Judicial Registry, he issued a protection order and served as part of his release.
Williamson, a striker who was recruited to the Pelicans in 2019, was not appointed in the affidavit.
He and love have a daughter, who was born in 2023.
In March, Love shared on his social networks that he was pregnant and celebrating “another addition to our family.” She did not appoint the child’s father in that publication.
Williamson was in a series of photos that the love published in August, and also published a photo of herself in the court of the Pelicans in November.
The Jefferson Parish District Prosecutor’s Office said he does not comment on cases open in a request for more NBC News information.
