New Delhi: Parliament on Tuesday approved the bill to establish the University of Tribuvan Sahkari In the Anand de Gujarat with the aim of creating qualified human resources for Cooperative societies.
The bill seeks to establish the ANAND RURAL MANAGEMENT INSTITUTE as a university to be known as the Tribuvan Sahkari University and declare it as an institution of national importance.
The tribuvan Sahkari University bill, approved by Lok Sabha on March 26, was approved by Rajya Sabha on Tuesday. Responding to a discussion about the bill, Minister of State for Cooperation Murlidhar Mohol He said this is the first university in the country dedicated to the cooperative sector. This university will have the state of an institute of national importance and will have the ability to train 8 LAKH of people every year, he added.
When stating that approximately 17 LAKH trained professionals would be required in the cooperative sector in the next five years, Mohol said this university will help meet this need.
