Three people died and another 21 wounds after an explosion occurred near a police vehicle in the Barech market area on Quetta’s double road, authorities said.
The incident occurs when Baluchistan faces a series of attacks aimed at the police and security forces, and in some cases, civilians come from Punjab.
Police surgeon Dr. Ayesha Faiz said Dawn.com“Three bodies were transferred to the Civil Hospital, while 21 people had been injured in the explosion.”
“Four of the injured are in critical condition, while four police officers are among the injured,” he added.
Confirming the deaths, the spokesman of the Health Department of Baluchistan, Dr. Waseem Baig said: “The injured have been transferred to the trauma center in the Civil Hospital.”
Baluchistan’s government spokesman Shahid Rind, said in a statement that the explosion occurred near a police vehicle, added that the nature of the explosion was being determined.

President Asif Ali Zardari condemned the explosion and expressed “deep sadness and regret for the beautiful loss of lives in the explosion,” according to a statement issued by the PPP.
“Such representable actions during the blessed month of Ramadan reflect the sinister reasons for terrorists,” said the president. The statement added that President Zardari was “praying for the rapid recovery of the injured.”
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi condemned the explosion in a statement from his office, expressing sadness for the death of the two people who lost their lives.
“We also share the pain of the families of the deceased,” Naqvi said.
“The enemy’s forces are pointing to Baluchistan. We will seek this atrocious conspiracy aimed at creating instability,” added the post.
Last week, a member of the anti -terrorism force (ATF) was martyred and another six were injured, three of them critically, when a road pump attacked a police vehicle on the road of the Quetta brewery.
The safety situation in Baluchistan has deteriorated in recent months, with separatist militants who frequently attack police personnel and the armed forces.
The forbidden Baluchistan Liberation Army (BL), in particular, has adopted new tactics to cause higher casualties and directly go to Pakistani security forces.
