Jammu: A 7 -year -old girl received a gunshot wound during an intense shooting between 4 and 5 JAISH-E-MUHAMMAD Terrorists and the security forces during a hairstyle operation in the Sanyal de Hiranagar area in Jammu and the Katua de Cashmiro district on Sunday.
“The Anchal Kumari, daughter of Nago de Bihar, suffered an injury in the minor bullet and was transferred from a nearby hospital,” said a source.
An army spokesman dismissed the publications of social networks that falsely demanded casualties from the troops. “This is a false and deliberate misinformation.”
“Based on specific contributions on the presence of armed terrorists in the Sanyal village near the Indo-Pak border, a joint team of Army, CRPF and the State Police launched a cord and search operation. As the security forces advanced, the hidden terrorists opened fire, causing a meeting,” said a source.
Earlier on Saturday night, a joint team of army and police revealed a terrorist hiding place in the Bhaderwah’s forest area of Doda. “Doda’s operation began on Thursday after the locals reported that alleged terrorist activities were recovered in the highest scopes. A gun, three magazines and 25 rounds of rifle AK ammunition were recovered,” said a source.
Meanwhile, security forces also launched hairstyle operations in the neighboring Kishtwar district on Sunday.
Katua’s encounter occurs two years after a powerful explosion near the Sanyal border police created a massive crater on March 29, 2023, causing panic among the locals. A live grenade was recovered during searches the next day.
The Jammu region has seen an increase in terrorist activities recently. On March 21, the alleged terrorists threw a pomegranate to a police vehicle in the Rajouri district, but lost their goal. On February 26, armed terrorists opened fire against an army convoy in Akhnoor.
