The participants in a high -level meeting emphasized the need for unified consensus and political commitment to combat terrorism with “total force of the State.”
The meeting was omitted by the opposition alliance Tehreek Tahaffuz-I-Ayeen Pakistan (TTAP), citing the absence of former first secret Imran Khan imprisoned.
The meeting at the National Security Parliamentary Committee Chamber occurred in the midst of recent recent attacks against security personnel and other law enforcement agencies, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Baluchistan.

A statement issued after the meeting said that the members of the committee condemned the recent terrorist acts in the strongest terms, expressed solidarity with the families of the victims and reiterated the unwavering resolution of the country to eliminate terrorism in all its forms and manifestations while praising the value and professionalism of the security forces and the agencies of application of the law in the realization of their operations against -Terismo.
“The Committee emphasized the need for a national consensus to repel terrorism, emphasizing the strategic and unified political commitment to face this threat to the total power of the State,” says the statement.
The members of the Committee emphasized the need for the immediate implementation of the National Action Plan and the AZM-I-Intehkam operation to dismantle terrorist networks, counteract logistics support and dismantle the link between terrorism and crime.
They also expressed concern about the growing use of social media platforms by terrorist groups to spread propaganda, recruit followers and coordinate their networks. The committee members recommended the need for measures to stop that use of social networks and also asked to formulate a mechanism to counteract the activities of terrorists.
“Reiterating its unwavering support for the armed forces of Pakistan and the agencies of application of the law, the committee recognized its sacrifices and commitment to national defense and said that the nation is shoulder with shoulder with the armed forces, the police, the border police and the intelligence agencies in the war against terrorism.
“The committee reiterated that no institution, individual or group that works in collusion with hostile forces may damage the peace and stability of Pakistan,” the statement added.
He concluded pointing out that the members of the committee also regretted the lack of participation by some opposition members and reiterated that the consultation process would continue.
The statement was approved unanimously by the members of the Committee.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the head of the Army staff, the general also, attended the security information.
The members of the Permanent Committees of Defense and Foreign Affairs of the National Assembly, the members of the Federal Cabinet, the main ministers of the four provinces and the leaders of all parliamentary parties or their representatives also attended the group.

The opposition omits the procedures
The PTI had said yesterday that it would attend the security discussion, but sought a meeting with its imprisoned founder Imran before the meeting. When joining his demand, the head of TTAP, Mahmood Khan Achakzai, said today: “The founder of PTI must also be invited to such a meeting and without it, no meeting will be important.”
During the joint press conference of the opposition held at KP House in Islamabad, Achakzai, also the head of the Awami Pashtoonkhwa Milli Awami (PKMAP) party, said that representatives of all political parties must be invited to any meeting on national security.
Achakzai was flanked by the secretary general of PTI Salman Akram Raja, Majlis Wahdat-i-Muslimeen (MWM) Chief Senator Raja Nasir Abbas and Sunni Ittehad Council (sic) MNA Sahibzada Hamid Raza.

The head of the PKMAP also said that the Superintendent of the Adiala prison of Rawalpindi, where Imran is imprisoned, does not allow PTI or other AMN leaders to meet the former private.

Gandapur to attend Moot as kp cm: Salman Akram Raja
While the Raja of PTI announced that “no representative of us will attend the meeting,” said Ali Amin Gandapur would attend the high -level meeting as the main minister of the KP.
Duplicating the position of his party, Raja said: “We demand that the founder of PTI be released on probation.”
He said that the PTI has refused to participate in the meeting, adding that the decision was taken at a meeting of the political committee of the party yesterday.

Initially, the PTI had decided to attend the security discussion, with spokesman Sheikh Waqqas Akram saying that his party would give his opinion at the meeting. Na’s opposition leader, Omar Ayub, had also called the consultation as crucial to align PTI’s position effectively in matters of national importance.
The ruling parties of Slam PTI’s decision
In reaction to the PTI decision not to attend the security meeting, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif said that the party was “doing policies of interest.”
