On Tuesday, a high-level national meeting was being held on measures to stop terrorism at the Parliament’s house, with the Tehreek Tahaffuz–Ayeen Pakistan opposition (TTAP) opposition announcing not participating in the mask, citing the absence of former first guard Imran Khan.

The PTI had said yesterday that it would attend the security discussion, but sought a meeting with its imprisoned founder Imran before the meeting. When joining his demand, the head of TTAP, Mahmood Khan Achakzai, said today: “The founder of PTI must also be invited to such a meeting and without it, no meeting will be important.”
During the joint press conference of the opposition held at KP House in Islamabad, Achakzai, also the head of the Awami Pashtoonkhwa Milli Awami (PKMAP) party, said that representatives of all political parties must be invited to any meeting on national security.
Achakzai was flanked by the secretary general of PTI Salman Akram Raja, Majlis Wahdat-i-Muslimeen (MWM) Chief Senator Raja Nasir Abbas and Sunni Ittehad Council (sic) MNA Sahibzada Hamid Raza.

In reaction to the PTI decision not to attend the security meeting, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif said that the party was “doing policies of interest.”
