Dera Ismail Khan: The Department of Prosecutor’s Office has expressed dissatisfaction with the quality of police investigation into the sensitive case of Bhagwani Shumali Vani, lamenting traditional negligence and police caution.
The public prosecutor of the Farastullah district had formed a four -members committee to supervise the case. The Committee is headed by public prosecutor Sheikh Shakeel, who has made serious accusations about the management of investigation by the police.
According to the spokesman of the Prosecutor’s Committee, the Police could not contact the Committee to obtain forensic assistance and did not implement the instructions provided by the Committee.
The spokesman revealed that the wife and brothers of the deceased had formally accused seven suspects, including two key defendants, Inayatullah, who acted as a referee in Vani’s decision, and Mohammad Ramzan, witness of the label newspaper.
The spokesman says that the investigation fogged by the breach of the directives of the prosecution committee
Both had obtained a bond prior to the arrest of the court, with their initial hearing scheduled for March 15. However, due to the absence of the suspect lawyer, the next hearing was rescheduled on Tuesday (March 18). A senior prosecution of two members will present arguments in the Court, opposing the defendant’s interim bail.
Meanwhile, three arrested suspects: Ghulam Fareed, the document writer Kifayatullah and Mohammad Imran, have not yet requested the bond. In addition, two main suspects, Waqas (who was given to the daughter of the deceased in Vani), and the nephew of the deceased, Jal (who is believed to be the catalyst for the tragic incident), remains in general.
The Prosecutor’s Office has expressed serious concerns about the police approach of the Police, stating that the investigation is tarnished by the delay and breach of the directives of the committee.
Police had to complete the investigation and present the case in court within 15 days, a deadline that remains unsatisfied.
The prosecution’s committee spokesman also revealed that due to the lack of availability of an adequate seal role at the time of marriage, the signatures were taken in a simple record, with the intention of transferring them later to the official timbre document. Unfortunately, the tragic incident occurred before this could happen. As a result, the forensic examination of firms and thumb impressions in the registry have become crucial.
In addition, the spokesman highlighted the importance of audio recording of the deceased before suicide and medical reports as critical evidence in the case.
The need for police cooperation with the Prosecutor’s Office was emphasized, particularly with respect to forensic analysis and other fundamental evidence, to ensure that justice is served.
It is noteworthy that this case has immense sensitivity, demanding transparent and expeditious investigation to defend the principles of justice. The prosecution’s concerns about the management of the police case have only added greater complexity to the procedures.
