Jackie and Shadow, the Big Bear Bald Eagle couple whose breeding trip has been broadcast live to the world, one of the three eagle that was born this season seems to be lost.
The nest video published on social networks on Thursday afternoon showed three baby birds in the nest fed by their parents.
But as of Friday, only two eagle seemed to be in Jackie and Shadow’s Nest, according to Cam Big Bear Bald Eagle Live Nest.
It is not clear what happened to the third eagle.
“We could only see two chicks during the first diet, so we are not sure what is happening,” said Jenny Voisard, media and Manager of Friends of Big Bear Valley websites in a statement. “Our point of view in the Nido bowl is partially clogged by snow, and there is a large part that we cannot see.”
“Please keep positive thoughts while waiting to be updated by nature.”
Jackie put three eggs at the end of January, according to Big Bear, and the three hatched last week.
The first hatched on March 3, the second on March 4 and the third a few days later.
It is not clear which of the three birds is missing.
