IAS Sonal Goel officer, Secretary of the Tripura Government, received the ’empowerment and development Women Award ‘In the International Women’s Day event 2025 in Bangkok, Thailand. The event was organized by the United Peace Keepers Federal Council (UNPKFC) and the United Nations Associations of Coachella Valley, USA.
Goel talked about the inclusion of gender and the empowerment of women. She highlighted modi government policies that support the development of women.
An IAS Officer of 2008, Goel, has worked on initiatives such as Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao in Haryana and established the first voting cabin of the women of Tripura in 2010.
The event that saw several global leaders who attended included discussions about women in leadership and Gender equality.
Sonal shared photos and videos of the event in his X account (previously Twitter) and wrote: “This recognition is not only mine, it belongs to all the girls who dare to dream, to all women who refuse to give up, and each person who believes that equality is not an option, it is a necessity.”
