While Toronto prepares to organize the first game of the FIFA World Cup in the Canadian floor, a group of Ontario musicians expect their music to be part of it.
The London -based group collaborated in an original song, Beautiful gamethat celebrates football and international competition. Artists now have their own objective: to make the melody the main song of the World Cup 2026.
“The World Cup is reaching our homeland, so what better way to make everyone know,” said Dario Novoa, who directed the project and appears in the song.
“This is a great opportunity for the world to really know that we are on the map of everyone.”
The 2026 World Cup Tournament, from June 11 to July 19, will have an expanding colossus of 48 teams and 104 games cohosted by Canada, the United States and Mexico. Toronto and Vancouver will be each of the five opening round matches plus a 32 reduction match, and Vancouver will organize a 16 -round game.
‘We need unity more than ever’
Beautiful game and his accompanying musical videos were created by members of simple reflections for artists, multidisciplinary artists in the London area.
“What we are trying to do at this time is Fuse Sports and Music, which is very appropriate with what is happening in the world at this time,” said the country singer Kristen Renée, one of the artists highlighted in the song. “We need unity more than ever.”
“Both sport and music have a sense of magic in them, and when you release it, it acquires their own life.”
Each musician, including rapper Big Lou and the singer and songwriter J-David, contributed with lyrics.

The musical elements, said Novoa, were inspired by styles around the world, including Latin America and Europe.
“When it comes to football and music, we don’t need to speak the same language to connect.”
Novoa said he already launched the song to FIFA, but also wants him to reach national football teams and sportswear brands. Artists hope to interpret the song live in one of the games.
“I would love to reach every corner that you want, and if FIFA loves and claims it, it belongs to them,” Renée said. “We write it for that purpose.”
Young soccer players star music videos
Simple reflections for artists made two musical videos for Beautiful game: One shows the singers and the other young soccer players of a local team.
“The boys bought it directly,” said Ael FC Canada president Milton Grouulias, whose girls team appears in the last music video. “Everyone danced and they were having a lot of fun.”
The team members are seen waving signs, playing football and lip synchronization in the video.
“The song is very unique and catchy,” said Olivia Ward, 11, a team member.
She said she was excited to be seen in the music video for the first time during an event of the watch party at the BMO Center in London on Wednesday.
Olivia and Gougoulias want the music video to also reach the world cup level, as a promotional video for the game.
Novoa said he wants to work with more football teams in Ontario to create similar musical videos.
“This is a movement in which we want everyone to be proud of what they are doing: embrace who you are through arts, music and sport.”
