Daltonganj/Ranchi/Hazaribag: Three days after motorcycles men killed a senior NTPC official in Hazaribag, an anti -terrorism team of the Jharkhand police killed Don Aman Sahu, whose gang was among the suspects of being behind the official murder.
The witnesses and the police said that while Sahu, 30, was being taken to Ranchi from Raipur prison in Chhattisgarh to appear in a case of the current court, there was a shooting when his accomplices tried to release him by throwing bombs in the prison truck transported him.
All MLA, cutting the lines of the party, said that Sahu deserved to die, while the government said in the assembly that the circumstances that lead to the meeting would be investigated. “The police have the right to retaliate in self -defense. Tuesday’s meeting is also a message for other criminals that the state government will not tolerate them, ”said Sudivya Kumar Minister of State. Although the leader of the Babulal Opposition Mara Andi supported the police and said that he should not remain inactive when he was shot, former CM Champai Soren, however, criticized the police for not guaranteeing Sahu’s security and demanded a CBI investigation. “Sahu would have revealed the truth and that is why he was killed,” he said.
Sahu family members, including his brother Gangster Aakash, who is currently in jail, responded to the police version through his lawyer and said the meeting was administered by the stage. The incident took place almost 173 km from Ranchi.
Palamu Sp Reeshma Ramesan said that the launch of bombs in the truck created an abrupt shock and Sahu snatched a Rifle from ATS Havildar Rakesh Kumar and shot him. “The policeman was also injured in the grip incident and was then admitted to the Daltonganj Medical College with an abrasion in the thigh. Sahu paid with his life in the retaliation action. The rear glass panel of the truck transporting Sahu was totally destroyed by the pumps, ”said Ramesan.
It is said that he was connected with the Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, it was also likely that Sahu was interrogated about the participation in the murder of NTPC official Kumar Gaurav and shoot a coal merchant based in Ranchi last week for extortion. Its operations, mainly murders, warning and extortion shots, extended beyond Jharkhand to West Bengal and Chhattisgarh.
Aman Sahu, who had 130 cases against him, was tied with ropes and handcuff when his accomplices threw two bombs into the police truck around 9.15 am in Anharee Dhounra, 16 km from the city of Daltonganj, Palamu district.
“Aakash, who requested the bond shortly after the meeting to attend his brother’s last rites, expressed fear that he could also be eliminated in a similar way. Appearing at his online bail audience, Aakash also expressed concern about the safety of his family members, ”said Hemant Shikarwar, Akash’s lawyer.
Later, Ramesan said that a masterful investigation would be carried out since Sahu was in judicial traffic imprisonment. “We will send a report on the meeting to the NHRCWithin two days,” said the sp.
