In his first media interview, Lori Vallow Daybell did not express any remorse for the murder of his children and said he feels “great” acting as his own lawyer in the next trial on the fatal shooting of her separate husband.
During a 90 -minute combative interview in an Arizona prison, Lori, 51, told “Datelline” that she was falsely accused and convicted of Joshua “JJ” Vallow of 2019, 7; Tylee Ryan, 16; and her husband’s previous wife, Tammy Daybell, 49.
Lori said she and her husband, Chad Daybell, who was also convicted in the three murders, will be exonerated because Jesus showed him the future and were not imprisoned.
“After being exonerated, maybe he continues to ‘dancing with the stars’ and you can come,” NBC’s Keith Morrison told Keith Morrison.

Chad, 56, the novels of self -edited final times and claimed to have had experiences close to death that allowed him to see the past and the future and the spiritual world.
During their 2024 trial, prosecutors said they described the “dark” or “zombies” victims before being killed.
Chad was sentenced to death after his conviction in May in a Idaho court for murder positions, conspiracy to commit first -degree murder and insurance fraud. Lori was sentenced separately in 2023 for murder for the death of his children and conspiracy to commit murder in Tammy’s murder. They gave him multiple perpetual chains without the possibility of probation.
“Our issue was: ‘This is money, sex and power,'” said Madison County fiscal lawyer, Rob Wood, about the prosecutors’ approach in the case of Daybells. “There were all these tangential religious problems, but it was really money and sex and try to control the people who were in the way they called obstacles.”
“They got rid of them and benefited from that,” Wood told “Datelline.”
The researchers said they suspected that Lori’s now deceased brother, Alex Cox, probably killed Tylee, JJ and Tammy. They believe he tried to fatally shoot Brandon Boudreaux, the husband separated from Lori’s niece, and admitted to having killed the husband separated from Lori, Charles Valleow, on July 11, 2019.
Cox described the shooting as an act of self -defense, according to an interview that gave the police at that time. But for Doug Hart, a former FBI agent who investigated the murders, Cox was a “cold blood murderer.”
“He was the one who was willing to do anything for his sister and, ultimately, anything for Chad,” he told “Dateline.”
In the months before his death, Charles requested Lori’s divorce and told the authorities that he believed she could try to kill him. According to the video of the body of the body of the conversation he had with the police in Gilbert, Arizona said that his wife had seen herself as a “risen being” and a god.
“She said: ‘You are not Charles,” he told the police. “‘I don’t know who you are or what you did with Charles … but I can kill you now.'”
Lori met her new husband, Chad, at a religious conference in Utah in 2018, a meeting that described “Datelline” as “incredible.”
“I recognized it spiritually,” Lori said. “And he recognized me spiritually that we knew ourselves for eternities.”
Days before his murder, Charles discovered that his wife was having an adventure with Chad and sent an email to his wife, Tammy, saying that he had “disturbing information” about their respective spouses, the documents of application of the law in the case.
After the fatal shooting of her separate husband, Lori contacted the company linked to her life insurance policy of $ 1 million and learned that she was no longer the beneficiary, according to a text message that she sent to Chad.
In the message, which was introduced as evidence in the trial for Lori’s murder, she seemed to refer to Charles as “Ned” and said that politics had probably changed in March, “before we got rid of him.”
“It’s a spear through my heart,” he said, according to the text.
Cox, Lori’s brother, died in December 2019 of what the Maricopa County Forensic doctor’s office said was a pulmonary embolism. In 2021, a grand jury accused Lori for a conspiracy position to commit a first degree murder in relation to the death of her separate husband.
That position has been updated since then to the first degree murder.
Lori was also accused of conspiring to kill Boudreaux, the husband separated from his niece who also lived in the Phoenix area, and will be tried separately by that position. She declared herself innocent in both cases.
In his interview with “Dateline,” Lori cited the next trial and refused to discuss the text message or other details related to the next cases.
“Did you die to your children?” Morrison asked in a moment.
“That is a really sad question,” he replied, adding: “I wasn’t there.”
Seven weeks after the death of her separate husband, Lori moved with JJ and Tylee from Arizona to a department in Rexburg, Idaho, who was at a short distance from the rural property of Chad.
The children disappeared that September, and their remains were found nine months later in Chad’s property. JJ had been buried in a pet cemetery, prosecutors said in the trial, while Tylee was dismembered and burned in a fire well.
In his interview, Lori denied that his new husband identified the children as “dark”, saying that it was “a narrative that you have been running.”
In an interview last year with his eldest son in “Scar Wars”, his podcast, Lori implied that his daughter could have killed his son accidentally and, full of pain, then his life was removed.
“It must be pleasant and easy to blame my little sister dead for everything,” said older brother, Colby Ryan, “Datelline.” “That is all lies.”
On October 19, 2019, weeks after the disappearance of JJ and Tylee, Chad and his son marked 911 to inform that they had found their then wife, Tammy, dead at home, a recording of the so -called sample.
Tammy’s death was initially attributed to natural causes, but the researchers then exhumed their body and performed an autopsy that discovered that he died from suffocation. Chad and Lori married weeks after Tammy died and received a life insurance payment of almost half a million dollars related to death, prosecutors said in the Lori trial.
In his interview with “Dateline,” Lori affirmed his innocence in Tammy’s death, saying that they “demonstrated” in court that died from natural causes.
Lori is now ready to be tried in the murder of Charles. A judge ruled in December that he can act as his own lawyer, a process that described “Datelline” as a “great” but “difficult to do.”
The jury selection is scheduled to begin on March 31. A trial date has not been established in the case of Boudreaux.
