The PML-N senator, Irfan Siddiqui, said that his ally in the ruling coalition, the PPP, was unlikely to resign the government since the party did not want to direct the country towards “another crisis.”
The differences between the PML-N, which heads the coalition, and the PPP has been slowly for months, since the key ally has expressed its frustration by the promises not fulfilled.
A meeting in December among the main leaders of both parties, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari could not end the disagreements. “Then, the country would enter another crisis. My opinion is that, given the way Pakistan is deviating from difficulties, the PPP would not want the country to return to a crisis, ”said Siddiqui.
His comments arrived when he responded to a consultation on the PPP that resigned from the ruling coalition by not voting in favor of the federal budget at the end of this year.
Siddiqui acknowledged that the possibility even existed today: “Without a doubt, if the PPP decided even today” we are not supporting the government “, then we can be voted tomorrow because the PML-N does not have [simple] most.”
However, he did not emphasize the PPP or the PTI could form the government alone, since they failed to ensure a simple majority in the general elections of last year.
The PML-N reaffirmed that the PML-N agreement with the PPP should be implemented.

In January, the PPP held a meeting of its Central Executive Committee (CEC), where it demanded that the federal government celebrate local government surveys in Punjab and Islamabad according to the agreement it had made with the ruling coalition.
The PPP has also repeatedly expressed concern about the construction of controversial channels in the Punjab area in the Cholistan area.
