The president of the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee, Irfan Siddiqui, warned on Saturday that the US runs allies such as the European Union if President Donald Trump continues to treat them in the same way that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky visited.
The president of the United States and his Ukrainian counterpart were involved in an Acre dispute when the latter visited the White House on Friday, and Trump said Zelensky “was not grateful” for the support of the United States in the middle of the three -year war with Russia and vice president JD Vance accusing Zelensky of being “disrespectful.”
“You are playing with the lives of millions of people,” Trump said. “You are playing with World War Tres, and what you are doing is very disrespectful with the country, this country.”
Speaking in him Dawnnewstv program ‘Doosra Rukh‘On Saturday, the senator said Trump is acting without considering the consequences because it is his last term in office.
“He is not worried about the votes, so he is doing what he wants, but this behavior is not being accepted on the world stage,” Siddiqui said.
Siddiqui added that Trump’s Row with Zelensky demonstrates a lot about the United States’s attitude towards his allies.
“If you look at their conversation (from Trump and Zelensky), you have the feeling that if the United States can openly humiliate one of its allies, one that has supported and armed for years,” he said. “It is possible that other countries can no longer trust the United States.
“Under Trump’s leadership, the United States quickly goes in an direction that will leave it completely isolated,” added the senator, warning that the United States can alienate the EU and worsen the relationships already frost with China.
Siddiqui warned that the result would be “the EU, China and other countries that bind” while the United States remains isolated.
‘You can’t present options to PTI’
Discussing the recently abandoned conversations between the government and the PTI, Siddiqui said it was impossible to present options during the negotiations because “they did not evaluate them in any forum or through any type of”.
“PTI decisions come directly from Imran Khan’s lips,” said Siddiqui. “I can’t say what he is thinking, but the PTI didn’t know what they were doing until they received instructions from their leader.
“When Imran ordered ‘no more talks’, the PTI committee was completely off guard,” he added.
The senator added that the party is suggesting alliances at the same time asks for civil disobedience, sending letters and publishing “explosive” articles in Time magazine. “They (the PTI) are impossible to predict,” he said.
When asked if the PTI wanted to continue negotiations despite Imran’s instructions, Siddiqui responded affirmatively. “Memory [PTI Chairman] Gohar Ali Khan went to see Imran, and when he returned, there were still three or four days before the deadline to meet his demands.
