Digital transformation in social sector: Challenges and opportunities


The social sector of India is adopting more and more digital Tools to improve services such as medical care and education. New digital health companies, online education platforms and payment systems are helping people in remote areas. The Indian digital campaign, together with the advances in AI, cloud computing and 5G, is promoting this growth, which makes India the second largest population worldwide worldwide by 2025. These changes offer significant opportunities for non -profit organizations.
“Despite the potential, non -profit organizations face challenges such as lack of awareness about digital tools, the difficulty in attracting qualified talent and limited funds for digital projects,” said expert Anirban Chaudhury.
Rizwan Koita, another expert, echoed these concerns, saying that a significant obstacle for non -profit organizations is to cultivate a culture of digital transformation. “It’s about recognizing the importance of digital, committing to investments and integrating technology as a central part of the organization’s strategy,” he explained.
Another expert Rekha Koita said that many organizations struggle to decide where technology can be applied effectively within its operations. Even when the areas are identified, challenges arise in the integration and choice of correct technologies. “The key is to understand where technology can really add value and address the process strategically,” he said.
