Nueva Delhi: Nithish Kumar has lost his brightness and also the negotiation power that helped him dominate Bihar’s political landscape for more than two decades? Niten Kumar critics say that the recent expansion of the cabinet, which saw 7 MLA of BJP join their ministry, is a clear indication of who is calling the shots in Bihar.
The opposition in Bihar affirms that the BJP has “completely kidnapped” JD (U) of NITIH KUMAR and is enjoying power when using the prime minister as a mask.
“People must analyze the bottom of how many cases are they against those who have been induced in the Bihar cabinet. This is the last expansion of the CM Cabinet (Niten Kumar). Nda will end in 2025. Tejashwi Yadav said.
“It was not an expansion of the Bihar Cabinet, but of the BJP. JD (U) has been completely kidnapped. The BJP wants to finish the JD (U). Many of the leaders are there in JD (U), but their hearts are with the BJP. The BJP wants to be a dominant force here, but its dream will continue to be a mere dream.”
Another strong critic of Nitist Kumar, former electoral strategist Prashant Kishor who has presented his own outfit Jan Suraaj Party, also criticized the BJP for “enjoying power while using Nitit Kumar as a mask.” The former national vice president of JD (U) said that “the loot of public money and developing some separate castes” were the intentions behind the expansion of the cabinet “with just six months for surveys.”
Both the BJP and the JD (U), two key components of the ruling NDA, strongly rejected the load of the opposition and launched a counterattack.
Janata Dal (United) said that the RJD (Rashtriya Janata Dal) will obtain so few seats in the Bihar Assembly elections that its Texashwi Yadav leader will not even obtain the state of opposition leader. The national spokesman of JD (U), Rajev Ranjan Prasad, said that the RJD rule under Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rierra Devi had left Bihar in a serious situation and it was Nithis Kumar who worked to improve his condition in all development metrics.
The JD (U) leader alleged that Bihar’s people still “shudder” thinking about the “Raaj” Jungle of the RJD rule, when numerous caste massacres occurred, and people died in the light of day and were kidnapped by rescue.
The Minister of the Union and the deputy of BJP, Giriraj Singh, also attacked Texashwi Yadav and said that “Choron Ko Sabajar Aate Hain Chor”. So, is there merit in the opposition position or can Niten still issue terms in the alliance?

Can Nitish change again?
Well, Niten Kumar, which has already made so many alliance flip flops, can definitely decide for another switch. But the big question is, will it dare to do that again? While everything is possible in politics, but with its credibility already at stake, a decision to change alliance before the assembly elections will be very difficult for NInch. Another debatable question is Texashwi will be willing to take him back to Mahaggathbandhan and under what conditions? In all his previous links with RJD, Nitish was the undisputed leader and Tejashwi his deputy.
Has the BJP hindered another flip-flop for NITIH?
The BJP has focused a lot on Bihar before the elections of the End of the Year Assembly. Prime Minister Narendra Modi made 8 parliamentarians of the Ministers of the State Union after winning the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Bihar has won more in the last two trade union budgets, obtaining several central projects and pains. Prime Minister Modi celebrated a Mega Rally in Bhagalpur earlier this month, which literally was the launch of the electoral campaign of Nda in the state. The prime minister made a strong reach of Bihar farmers disburseing about RS 23,000 million rupees to almost 100 million beneficiaries of Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana throughout the country. With so much generosity of the center, it will be difficult for NInch thinking and justifying any change of alliance to the people of the state.
Niten Kumar, who has had a dominant presence in the state, is perhaps going through the most difficult phase of his political career. Rumors about their health have not helped affairs. It is not surprising, Prashant Kishor, a friend becoming a critic of Nithis Kumar, has presented an open challenge to Bihar’s principal minister. “Challenge Nithis Kumar to explain the names of the ministers in the state cabinet without looking at a piece of paper. If he demonstrates his mental solidity, he would renounce politics and start working for him,” Kishor said attacking the head of JD (U).
The elections of the Assembly in the State are still many months away and it will be interesting to see how NITIH adapts to changed land realities.
