A victory for New Zealand would also hit Bangladesh and house Pakistan in the group phase of the 50 superiors tournament. India would happen with black caps.
New Zealand won the first competition match against Pakistan, who later lost to India on Sunday to be on the edge of an early departure.
New Zealand made two changes, bringing the rapid player Kyle Jamieson and the batter Rachin Ravindra in a launch that is expected to be friendly to the batting.
Ravindra, a left-handed batter and Spinner, has recovered from an unpleasant blow on his forehead in a recent Tri-series series match.
Bangladesh, led by Najmul Hossain Shanto, needs a victory to stay alive in the eight -nations tournament after they went to India in their first game.
They made two changes with the main batter Mahmudullah and the rapid player Nahid Rana for Soumya Sarkar and Tanzim Sakib.
The two best teams of each of the two groups move to the semifinals.
