Timmins news: One arrested following road rage incident on Hwy. 11 near Temiskaming Shores


Ontario Provincial Police are asking for the public’s help in investigating a road rage incident Monday on Highway 11 near Temiskaming Shores.

The incident occurred at Highway 11 and Highway 65 shortly after 1 p.m. Temiskaming OPP are hoping to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and has video or dash camera footage.

The “collisions and erratic driving involved a white Toyota Rav 4 SUV,” police said in a news release Tuesday.

“Following the collision, OPP made several attempts to stop the vehicle, which resulted in the deployment of a spike belt. The suspect vehicle was stopped and the driver was arrested.”

Video from the victim’s dash cam shows the truck backing up trying to hit the victim’s vehicle. The police are called when the incident occurs. It ends when the van repeatedly rams the victim’s vehicle in a parking lot.

No injuries were reported, but the road rage victim was taken to a local hospital as a precaution.
