A younger girl died and three others were injured on Monday when a fire exploded in a cattle feather in the Battagram Seri area on early Monday, the authorities said.
“The fire exploded in the cattle feather and quickly wrapped four nearby houses, which resulted in the death of Bushra Bibi of four years,” said the officer of the Shumlai station station (Sho) Farid Khan Dawn.com.
Bushra’s mother, Sumaira Bibi, 25, was injured in the fire, along with Rukhsana, 32, and Saeedullah, 20. The deceased and wounded were all of the same family, the sho said.
“A buffalo and three cows also perished in the fire,” he said, adding that a total of four houses were destroyed in the incident.
The reason for the fire was not known immediately, said the police officer, but an incident investigation report had been submitted.
The locals helped spray the fire, since the area is located in a remote region and inaccessible altitude for the 1122 rescue team.
The incident occurs less than a week after a fire devastated a house in the Rajmera de Battagram area, while a separate fire wrapped a truck on the Hazara highway in the Kas Pul area.
No victims were reported in any of the incidents.
