Lahore: A police officer was arrested shortly after he tried to sexually assault a disabled beggar woman and shot him and wounded a man during an attempt to flee in the Manawan area here on Sunday.
Taking note of the incident, the operations of Lahore Dive suspended the agent, Amjad, of the service after the registration of a criminal case against the suspect published at the Shafiqabad police station.
Sharing details, a source said that the suspect intercepted the woman under the influence on a deserted road in Manawan and dragged her to the nearby fields where she helped the alarm.
Meanwhile, some people, including a place, Sajid Ali, rushed to the place to rescue the woman, said the source.
He added that seeing people running to the fields, the drunk policeman took out a gun and opened indiscriminate fire, leaving Sajad injured. Later, the man was transferred to the hospital with an injury to the bullet in his leg.
The police have arrested the agent.
Killed woman: A woman was found murdered in mysterious circumstances at home in the Sanda area here on Sunday. Identified as Rida, the woman was found with her throat with a sharp edge weapon.
Police consultations suggested that she lived at the top of the house and her husband, Shamshad, was at work when she was found murdered.
However, the police arrested her husband under suspicion, since the circumstantial evidence showed that no strange or strange could enter the upper part of the house without being noticed.
Sharing details, the Lahore police spokesman said that the mother -in -law’s in -laws resided at the bottom of the building that had an entrance, and there were no signs of any forced entry.
Citing the initial investigations, the spokesman said that the woman was killed between midnight and 3 am, while the victim’s husband worked on the night shift, from 9 pm to 9 am, in a factory.
However, on the night of the incident, the suspect visited his house twice, first at 11 pm and then around 1 in the morning, claiming that he had brought a hamburger for his wife. Due to their unusual activity, the police developed suspicions and arrested Shamshad to interrogate him. The body was transferred to the city morgue for autopsy.
