Dehradun: A fast -track court in Dehradun acquitted three men who spent four years in jail for violation charges under the Pocso law after discovering that the case against him was manufactured. The Court ruled that the woman, then 19, was in a consensual relationship With one of the defendants and filed a false complaint after he refused to divorce his wife.
The court exonerated Khurshid Ahmed, Sattar Khan and Mohd Shahid on Friday after examining the evidence and pointed out that the woman, despite knowing that Khurshid was married and had three children, was in a relationship with him and had a baby with him in November 2020.
When he refused to divorce his wife, his mother and sister presented a case of rape against him and falsely involved their two friends, Sattar and Shahid, to press it. The court determined that the prosecution did not prove his case beyond reasonable doubt and acquitted the three defendants and ordered the Dehradun prison prison to release them immediately.
