Recognize black leaders conforms to Canada’s theme for the month of black history 2025

Marques Brownlee calls himself a geek.

But with almost 20 million subscribers on its YouTube channel dedicated to the latest technological devices, the label seems to be working for it.

The name of the American influence was only one of the many that arose when CBC news collaborator Kids, Matthew Hines, asked adolescents in Toronto, Ontario, to appoint a black creator to admire.

February is the month of black history. According to the Canadian government, it is a time to celebrate the achievements and contributions of the black Canadians.

This year’s theme includes a wink to black leaders and “edifying future generations.”

So, we decided to ask the next generation who they admire.
