A total of eight people died and two were injured after a truck fell into a drain in Kasur, police said Friday.
According to (Sho) Ghulam Sabir, 10 people returned from a wedding when their cash truck fell into a drain near Raiwind. “The injured were taken to the Baba Bulleh Shah hospital from Kasur by rescue 1122 and were being treated,” he added.

A declaration of rescued 1122 said the incident occurred because the driver felt sleepy.
Police also registered a first information report (FIR) against the driver citing overvelation as the cause of the accident.
Three dead in fine while the trailer overturned
Separated, three people died in fine after a loaded trailer overturned over a house, burying the residents under the rubble, according to a rescue statement 1122 on Friday.
“The rescue workers eliminated the bodies of the family members of the house, a 15 -year -old girl, a 17 -year -old boy and her 40 -year -old father,” the statement said.
According to a signed by the victims’ relative, the incident occurred at night when the three family members were asleep. A rapid movement trailer overturned at home, according to the report, added that the driver managed to escape the scene.

The rescue personnel began a search and rescue operation led by the emergency officer Muhammad Bilal, he added.
The statement also said that the three bodies were transferred to the Nishtar hospital for a fine of police action.
