6 killed as vehicle attacked in KP’s Kurram: police – Pakistan

At least six people were killed after the terrorists attacked a passenger vehicle in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Khyber District, police said Wednesday.

Kohat Regional Police officer, Abbas Majeed Marwat, said in a statement: “Six passengers have been killed in a tragic shot incident to a passenger vehicle at Bajo Kurram.

“A search operation has been launched after the terrorist incident,” he said, adding that 12 people were arrested in the operation.

The police also recovered a lot of weapons in the operation, he added.

“Terrorists will not be saved under any circumstance. Nobody will be allowed to disturb regional peace,” said Rpo Marwat.

Today early, Kurram Kurram Malik Habib Khan district officer said the unknown assailants fled the scene after the attack. “The bodies have been taken to the hospital,” he said, adding that an investigation into the incident was underway.

Member of the National Assembly (MNA) Hameed Hussain condemned the incident in a statement, qualifying it as “an attempt to interrupt the peace in the area.”

“Such incidents are unfortunate even after the establishment of checks of checks on the main road,” he said.
