6 killed after uprooted tree crushes vehicles in Himachal | India News


Nueva Delhi: According to reports, six people have lost their lives and five wounds suffered in a tragic accident in Himachal Pradesh. A huge Kayal tree, uprooted by strong winds, collapsed in parked vehicles near Manikaran Gurudwara in Kullu, crushing those inside.
According to the report, among the deceased was a street seller, a car occupant and three tourists, according to face -to -face witnesses. The impact of the tree fall was so severe that rescue efforts faced challenges to recover the victims. Several others suffered wounds and were transferred to nearby hospitals to receive treatment.
Adm Kullu, Ashwani Kumar, confirmed the victims, saying that relief and rescue operations are ongoing. “The police and rescue teams from the district administration have transferred five injured to the local community hospital in Jari,” he added.
The authorities are in the process of identifying the deceased and urged caution due to adverse climatic conditions in the region.
