PESHAWAR: Around 55,000 people have been displaced from different areas of Mamund Tehsil in the tribal district of Bajaur due to the military operation, while 400,000 residents remain hostages of the touch of the is suddenly imposed, local legislator Nisar Baz said Monday to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assembly.
During a debate on the situation of the law and order in the province with the speaker Babar Salem Swati presiding over the session, BAZ, of the National Awami Party of the opposition, insisted that the displaced persons of their district due to a military operation against multiple terrorism problems due to their lack of their government.
He said that neither the provincial government nor the federal government had made agreements to meet the needs of displaced residents.
Baz urged the authorities to lift the curfew to allow people to change to security.

“Almost the entire population is literally hostage of the curfew, which stopped its migration. It is surprising why the government has imposed the touch of a situation in which people moved to safe areas,” he said.
The opposition legislator said that displaced persons were making arrangements at the Selfayuda base, with the help of some local political parties.
He complained that government machinery was not visible in the critical situation. Baz also said that residents were struggling to move to security due to the shortage of transport vehicles.
Baz said that displaced people had taken refuge in schools, while some had installed tents.
He complained that these residents lacked access to basic facilities, including food. He asked the provincial government in whose direction the curfew was imposed.
Ahmed Karim Kundi, of the Popular Party of the opposition of Pakistan, said that the provincial government should clarify its position on the claim of Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi that the main Ministali Amin Gandapur was “giving money for extortion” to terrorists.
“If terrorists receive extortion money from the principal minister, what will be the state of the security of the common man in this province?”
The opposition member said that the provincial government should reveal where it had used RS700 billion received to combat terrorism since 2010. He said that the province would obtain130 billion for the same purpose in the current financial year.
Kundi said that the people of the province had lost confidence in the prime minister on the situation of law and order, especially in the Bajaur district, since he had changed his statements in this regard several times.
“The main minister issues a statement during meetings with those at the head of matters, but he releases another when he is in public,” he said.
The opposition legislator demanded that the President’s House of Representatives with representatives of the Treasury and Opposition Banks to make recommendations on the situation of the law and order after consulting all interested parties.
The Minister of Housing, Dr. Amjid, supported the idea and said that the that of Thatits should be addressed with Commander Corps de Peshawar and the main commander of the intelligence agency sector, who should also be called to the Provincial Assembly for an informative session on the security situation in the province.
Member of the ruler Pakistan Tehreek-I-Insafmalik IQbal said that his party always opposed military operations in the province because he made people face the security forces.
He said that all controversial problems must be solved through the system and traditional conversations of Jirga. The chair then postponed the session until the day of the lack of quorum.
