An earthquake of 5.2 magnitude on Tuesday shook Islamabad, Rawalpindi and several parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the seismic network of the Department of Meteorology of Pakistan (PMD) in a statement.
According to the statements, the earthquake felt in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Swat, Chitral and Abbottabad of KP.
According to the PMD, the earthquake originated at 10:20 am pkt. His epicenter was the Hindu Kush region in Afghanistan, at a depth of 190 kilometers.
So far no victims have been informed and, according to the 422 rescue KP spokesman, Bilal Faizi has not yet been declared an emergency.
Pakistan falls to three important tectonic plates, the Arab, Euro-Asian and Indian, which creates five seismic areas under Pakistan. Multiple failure intersection means that tectonic movements remain a frequent occurrence in the region.
